Day One

Shoppers Drug Mart®  Weekend to End Women's Cancers is a two-day 60-kilometre walk through the neighbourhoods of Toronto. It will be my third year doing it, and although it will definitely be a challenge, I am looking forward to the endeavour towards finding a cure for women's cancer.

My commitment to the walk is fuelled by a desire to end the pain and suffering, and work toward a healthier tomorrow.  That commitment has brought me here...It's
Halloween night, and as I wait for kids to come for the candy, I am brainstorming how I can raise money for breast cancer.  And then it comes to me.

I have decided to host a fundraiser dinner.  A gala, with dinner, music, dancing, and a silent auction.  It would be a great way to connect with family and friends, have a fun night, and raise money for a great cause!

It is going to be a long journey, planning this event for March.  But I can do it, especially with the help of each of you.  Thank you for supporting me and the fight against Women's Cancers.

So, getting started:

DAY ONE:
Create a blog to keep in touch, and start the planning!

Have hope and join in the fight.  "It only takes one candle to challenge the darkness" - Jesse Jackson
